Funding and Awards

Travel grants

Yeukyung Woo Excellence Fund - Travels funds provided by the Biological Sciences department (at least 4 awardees per year). Up to $500 awarded per person in memory of a former graduate student. Contact Peter Hollenbeck for more information as exact deadlines subject to change.

To apply:
  1. Submit a letter to Peter Hollenbeck (Lily 2-237) including the name of the meeting/conference to be attended, expected costs for meeting and travel, and the type of presentation you will make (i.e., poster, talk, etc.).
  2. Letter of support form your major professor, including a statement of the amount of money available from grant funds to fund the travel.
  3. Copy of your abstract.

Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship - Typically provides support for your last year (writing)
